The following shows the initiatives achieved under the knowledge management strategy from 2004-2006.

Develop a "lessons learned" template for use by the NSW Department of Health Template completed. Previously Simple Success Stories, this template enables clear messages to be documented and subsequently disseminated. 19 Jan 05

Development of a paper in conjunction with the Clinical Excellence Commission and the Quality and Safety Branch

Paper developed and submitted to the NSW Department of Health. Additional papers from SIP data have been completed with several more in development.

Paper 1: Changing an incident reporting and management paradigm: the NSW Safety Improvement Program

Paper 2: Changing a health system for patient safety: a triangulated, multi-methods evaluation

Paper 3: Promoting safety: varied reactions of doctors, nurses and allied health professionals to a safety improvement program

Paper 4: Attitudes of health professionals who conducted root cause analyses after participating in a safety improvement program

Provide support for NSW Department of Health evaluation processes Support provided on design, data gathering and analysis of formative and summative evaluations, particularly the Clinical Risk Management for Rural General Practitioners project and the Maternity Services Project. Completed
