    The Annual Report outlines the functions and activities of the Ministry and Local Health Districts over the 2010/11 financial year.

  • 2011 YourSay Workplace Culture Survey Results
    In May 2011 everyone who worked for NSW Health was invited to participate in a workplace culture survey to provide feedback on their experiences and views on their workplace culture.

  • Hospital Activity and Performance
    From 10th September 2010, quarterly reports on the performance of NSW public hospitals are published by the Bureau of Health Information. They are available at www.bhi.nsw.gov.au/publications. The Bureau of Health Information was established by the NSW Government to provide independent information about the performance of the NSW public health system.

  • Report of the Chief Health Officer
    A detailed report on the health of the people of New South Wales based on available measures of population health.

  • Further evaluation of the Medically Supervised Injecting Centre during its extended Trial period (2007-2011) - Final Report


  • Health Survey Program
    Monitors health behaviours, health status, use of and satisfaction with health services, and other factors that influence the health of the people of New South Wales. The core activity of the program is the continuous New South Wales Population Health Survey.

  • Mothers and Babies Report
    This report on mothers and babies in NSW combines the annual reports of the NSW Midwives Data Collection, the Neonatal Intensive Care Units' Data Collection, and the NSW Birth Defects Register. It contains information on maternal and neonatal deaths reviewed by the NSW Maternal and Perinatal Committee.

  • NSW Health Patient Survey
    The NSW Health Patient Survey has been developed to gain information from patients and carers across NSW about their experiences with health care services.

  • NSW Health Population Projection Series 1, 2009
    The population projection series is a customised series prepared by the Department of Planning in consultation with Statewide Services Development Branch, NSW Health, used in the future planning of health services.

  • Healthcare Associated Infection
    Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) are an ever-present factor in every health system. They are varied and complex. Many are caused by multi-resistant organisms known as MROs that can be difficult to detect and treat.

  • NSW Health Services Comparison Data Book
    NSW Health Services Comparison Data Book (the "Yellow Book") contains comparative data for key activity, staffing and financial measures of performance for all public hospitals in NSW and for private hospitals treating public patients under contract with NSW Health.
