SummaryBlood cholesterol and blood glucose testing is a skin penetration procedure specified in section 51 of the Public Health Act 1991 and therefore must comply with the requirements of the Public Health (Skin Penetration) Regulation, 2000. Compliance with the NSW Health Guidelines on Blood Cholesterol and Blood Glucose Measurement will provide a defence in prosecution under the Regulation.
