Constructed Wetland Treatment System (CWTS) - Rootzone 1200 Reed Bed System

Summary

The Rootzone model 1200 reed bed system is designed to treat the full
wastewater stream from a residential dwelling occupied by a maximum of 8
persons.

The Rootzone model 1200 reed bed system consists of the following
components:

- A septic tank with a minimum capacity of 3000 litres.
- A horizontal sub-surface flow reed bed
- A vertical flow reed bed filter
- A Sump pump (where required)
- An Upstream model NC 10-50 UV disinfection unit
- An irrigation pump is located in the pump well
