NSW Health has partnered with Flourish Australia and Social Ventures Australia to deliver an innovative mental health program to enhance the wellbeing of people in Nepean Blue Mountains and Western NSW Local Health Districts (LHDs).
Through the Resolve Program, people with a mental illness will get the right help at the right time in the community and be enabled to live a contributing life without frequent hospital admissions.
The program commenced in October 2017 and will be delivered over seven years. It will help approximately 530 people in and around Penrith and Orange with their mental health recovery journey.
The Resolve Program will provide participants with two years of comprehensive, recovery-oriented community mental health support. It includes a residential program with 24/7 peer support, community outreach support and a ‘warm line’ for after-hours phone support.
The program complements other mental health services in the Nepean Blue Mountains and Western NSW LHDs.
