Position title: COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Stage 1-2 Manager

Required Job Skills: Supervisory experience, demonstrated communication, clerical and interviewing skills;

Staff: Administrative, Clerical or Clinical Staff member

Report to: COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Clinic Manager

Supervise (if activated): Entry Stage team members

Mission

To maintain needed communications; to provide systems and support to send, receive and convey messages internally and externally.

Initial actions

  • Sign-on to staff roster, providing contact details
  • Report to and receive assignment from your supervisor
  • Ensure photo ID is clearly visible
  • Introduce self to all staff assigned to team
  • If unable to perform any of the duties in the job action sheet, clarify issues of concern with assigned supervisor
  • Familiarise self with the workstation, emergency procedures and resources including:
    • Physical layout of workspace (eg: emergency exits, toilets)
    • Check two-way radio ensuring that batteries are fully charged and re-charger is available for specific radio and/or phone type
  • Review any changes to clinic workflows

Specific job actions

  • Familiarise self with education materials and booking process
  • Coordinate the provision of additional information, material and forms required by staff
  • Refer clinical matters unresolved prior to attendance to Stage 3 Manager
  • Manage throughput of clients
  • Give Clinic Manager feedback about what is working well and what is not working well

Conclusion of work shift actions

  • Complete all required forms, reports, and other documentation and give to supervisor
  • Clean up work area prior to leaving
  • Brief on-coming staff at shift change on specific job position duties, ensuring that ongoing activities are identified and that follow-up requirements are known
  • Sign off and log the hours worked
