The NSW TB Conference 2023 provides an opportunity to present the latest evidence, research and on-the-ground experience in managing TB to health professionals. The agenda will include topics such as the new multidrug resistant TB regimens; TB drugs, including drug-safety monitoring, management and pharmacokinetics; TB-HIV coinfection management; testing and management of latent TB infection; practical aspects of whole genome sequencing of M. tuberculosis, as well as new research being undertaken.
The event provides a unique opportunity to reach a cross-section of health professionals working across TB in the NSW, and other TB programs in Australia and New Zealand including medical specialists, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse consultants and registered nurses, laboratory staff, pharmacists and researchers from Australasia.
At the last conference in March 2018, there were 133 attendees gather for the NSW TB Conference, with approximately 70% consisting medical and nursing personnel working on the ground in NSW TB services. Prior to the cancellation of the conference in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there were 178 registered participants from Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Medical attendees included representation from respiratory medicine, infectious diseases, paediatrics, public health and a small number of general practitioners. Other attendees included laboratory staff, pharmacists, and public health specialists along with a small number of people involved in TB research.
In March 2023, the NSW TB Conference will be a hybrid conference with both in-person and virtual options. It will be open to attendees from TB services in all Australian jurisdictions and New Zealand. We anticipate the conference will bring together up to 150 health professionals working in TB and will make it the largest networking opportunities for clinicians interested in TB in Australia and provides a showcase opportunity for sponsors.
We are offering a variety of sponsorship opportunities for organisations to partner with NSW Health to strengthen and build relationships across tuberculosis services in the NSW public health sector and wider. This is a unique opportunity to generate brand awareness and interact with delegates. Please see the NSW Health Tuberculosis Conference 2023 Sponsorship Prospectus for more information.
