The System Relationships and Frameworks Branch has the key role in developing and maintaining the NSW Health Purchasing Framework, NSW Health Performance Framework, annual Service Agreements with Local Health Districts and Specialty Health Networks and Service Compacts with the Pillars and other health agencies.

The Branch is responsible for coordination of the annual Service Agreement / Service Compact negotiation process and the documentation arising from this process.
 
System Relationships and Frameworks and the System Relationships Branches have the lead role in monitoring the performance of Health Services by working in close partnership with health service executives, senior managers and clinicians as well as other parts of the Ministry and the four Pillars.
 
Branch staff work collaboratively with health professionals across NSW Health and provide expert advice, analysis and project management to achieve performance goals of the NSW public health system.  Expertise is available in the areas of:
