This report describes the cost effectiveness of falls prevention interventions in both the community and the residential aged care setting. It is the first to use the effectiveness data from the most recent community dwelling falls prevention Cochrane review (2009), and the first to convert falls avoided and hospitalisations avoided into Quality adjusted life years gained, the most commonly used outcome measure in economic evaluation.
