The 2014 NSW Health Innovation Symposium iCan: iDeas inspiring innovation and the NSW Health Awards were held at Sydney Showgrounds on Friday 31 October 2014.

The symposium once again showcased the outstanding innovation from every part of the system to quality patient care for the NSW community.

On Friday 31 October, the Hon Jillian Skinner MP, Minister for Health and Minister for Medical Research, and the Hon Jai Rowell MP Minister for Mental Health and Assistant Minister for Health, were joined by consumers, clinicians, academics, managers and support staff to discuss ground-breaking health initiatives which harness new ideas, new technologies and new approaches to the delivery of care. The symposium also provided unique insight into the work of the 2014 NSW Health Awards Finalists, chosen by their peers out of 144 entries from across the state. The recipients of the prestigious NSW Health Awards were named at a function following the symposium.
