Preventive health policies and programs play a critical part in ensuring the future health of children. Current initiatives include addressing smoking, alcohol, substance use and obesity in pregnancy, and the promotion of healthy eating, physical activity and breastfeeding. This work is best achieved in partnership, and much of the work is undertaken in collaboration with key stakeholders.
