Suicide Prevention Outreach Teams will be established in every local health district across NSW to provide support to at-risk people in the community who are experiencing or recovering from a suicide crisis. These services will provide support to people in distress in the community, where they work and live.

Clinicians and non-clinicians, community members, community organisations and people with lived experience of suicide have been involved in co-designing innovative and needs-based local models to meet the requirements of each local health district. Experts have been engaged across the country and internationally to gather best practices information.
