Environmentally sustainable healthcare is interlinked with strong primary care. Keeping people healthy, well and independent in their homes and communities, providing care in innovative ways and in community settings improves patient experience and health outcomes and reduces emissions.

NSW Health will be working closely with our primary care colleagues in our shift to net zero.

A Primary Health Network (PHN) Chief Executive is represented on our Environmental Sustainability Steering Committee and we note the great work underway by many PHNs, the RACGP and primary care organisations in this area.
