Sam Holtom: Hi my name is Sam, and I was fortunate enough to complete the Enrolled Nurse Scholarship Program in 2019.

Sam Holtom: I enjoy being an Enrolled Nurse to promote health and care towards my patients. I have met some absolutely amazing people. The stories I’ve heard, the lives they’ve led, it’s touched me quite personally.

Josh Paroz: Hi my name is Josh, and I’ve completed the Enrolled Nurse Scholarship Program.
Josh Paroz: Becoming an Enrolled Nurse is a big part of my identity and being able to come to work every day and still go home with a smile on your face knowing that you’ve done some good work is super rewarding.
Narrator: There are many benefits to a scholarship, including all fees being fully reimbursed and a guaranteed job as a NSW Health Enrolled Nurse upon successful completion of the program.
Josh Paroz: As an Enrolled Nurse I can work in a medical ward, through a range of specialities, in theatres more critical care areas like the Emergency Department, and even clinics. A career in nursing can take you more places than you thought you would go.

Ashley Gamble: Hi my name is Ashley, and I was fortunate enough to complete the Enrolled Nurse Scholarship Program. I really love my role as an Enrolled Nurse. I find it really rewarding being able to advocate for people who are unwell. One thing that excites me about coming to work is, that you never know what to expect.

Ashley Gamble: Everyday you’re challenged, everyday you know you’re presented with something that you can learn from. You’re surrounded by people who are so knowledgeable and who are so willing to teach you that, you know that everyday you’re going to come to work and it’s going to be something different, and you going to have an active role in someone’s life, who is unwell, and sometimes it’s stressful but it is the most rewarding experience you will ever have in your life I feel. You get a lot of support, they really facilitate your learning process in that first period, so it was really good. I would definitely say my workplace is supportive and there is a lot of career options. I would definitely recommend the nursing scholarship program to anyone.
