Businesses, public services and community organisations are all likely to be severely affected during an influenza pandemic.

All organisations should have a business continuity plan (BCP) in place that outlines, in the event of a pandemic, what is required to ensure core people and skills are available to keep businesses operating, to ensure the provision of essential products and services can continue, and to recover as quickly as possible.

Where there are gaps identified, these should be systematically addressed, with plans regularly reviewed.
