Registering and updating your pharmacy in the healthdirect Service Finder

Instructions for registering and updating your pharmacy and all related service offerings in the healthdirect Service Finder.

 

Important

It is a legal requirement of the NSW Class Authorities for all expanded scope services, that pharmacists ensure the pharmacy they are working from maintains an up-to-date service listing via healthdirect.

Updates and registrations are usually visible on the Service Finder within 2 business days.

Steps to register and update your service

  1. 1. Check to see if your pharmacy is listed on the healthdirect Service Finder.
    1. Search by entering your pharmacy’s name and the suburb or postcode.
    2. If your pharmacy is returned in the search results, skip ahead to step 3 to update your listing.
  2. If your pharmacy listing does not appear, scroll down and click on Register now or go to Service Registration.

    1. Fill in all the required fields.
    2. Select ‘I permit the NHSD to publish my service information for public use, including the healthdirect Service Finder and the NHSD widget.
    3. Expanded scope offerings available at your pharmacy can be added in the service offerings for pharmacies section.

    4. After completing all required fields and accepting the NHSD Registration Terms and Privacy Policy, submit your registration by clicking on the Send button.
  3. To update your listing, click on ‘Suggest an edit’ located below your contact details.

    1. Select ‘Yes, I work for this healthcare service’.
    2. Select all relevant fields that require an update.
    3. To add expanded scope pharmacy offerings, select ‘service offerings’.

    4. To add vaccination offerings, select ‘service type’ and ‘add services’. Add COVID-19, immunisation service and/or influenza vaccination service.

    5. After updating all relevant information, select ‘I give consent to have my information displayed publicly’ and click ‘Send’.
