To support a culture within NSW Health that values and uses research evidence, the Population and Public Health Division has developed a 5-year plan,Promoting the generation and effective use of population health research in NSW: A Strategy for NSW Health 2011-2015, which identifies three areas of work for the Population and Public Health Division: facilitate the generation of high quality research, maximise the use of research to improve population health and reduce health inequities, and build population health research capability.
