Each year, Districts, Networks and Pillars are invited to submit new health technology nominations and emerging technology updates.

New technology nominations are health technologies at a sufficiently advanced stage of local implementation to be considered for statewide adoption into the NSW Health system.​

An emerging technology update advises the Ministry of new technologies that are being considered for local implementation by a District, Network or Pillar. This may include technologies that are new to NSW, have emerging research or require a health technology assessment.
