Do you know what they’re vaping?

We are urging you to find out more and talk with young people, teachers and carers about the hidden impacts of vapes.

Alarmingly, we are seeing an increase in the number of young people vaping at school.

Young people may think they are simply inhaling flavoured water vapour, but this is far from the truth. Vapes can have the same harmful chemicals found in cleaning products, nail polish remover, weed killer and bug spray.

Vapes are colourful, with flavours that make them appealing. In many cases, young people are inhaling harmful chemicals.

About the vaping toolkit

This toolkit has been created to help young people understand what is in a vape. It is a collection of creative assets you can use at your school with young people 14 to 17 years, and teachers and carers.

The vaping toolkit aims to

  • increase awareness around vapes and the health risks of vaping
  • address the myths and misperceptions about vaping.

Vaping toolkit user guide

The vaping toolkit user guide provides information on the purpose of the vaping toolkit and how it can be used.

As an adjunct to the NSW Government brand, the user guide includes a section on font, styles and colours to ensure a consistent look and feel across the vaping toolkit resources.
