The aim of each Capability Development Day is to support the statewide Whole of Health Program (WOHP) leads in developing new skills, share existing knowledge and skills, implement change, scale best practice and network with other WOHP leads.

Third Capability Development Day

The third WOHP Capability Development Day, held in May 2018, heard Professor Brian Dolan share the ‘End PJ Paralysis’ campaign and making time the key currency in health Care with the ‘Last 1000 days’ work. All WOHP leads present made pledges to make a difference to patients in their daily work with some WOHP leads pledging to introduce #EndPJParalysis to their facilities.

Second Capability Development Day

The second WOHP Capability Development Day, held in November 2017, focussed on the development of radical ideas and new ways of brain storming with affinity and theming to provide the skills and techniques to help teams develop new ideas

First Capability Development Day

This was the first Capability Development day, specifically for Whole of Health Program leads with invited local health district staff from areas of Patient Flow and Redesign. The focus of the day was to improve strategic capabilities to lead change and manage stakeholders, broaden knowledge of analytics and performance measures and explore the role of the WOHP and Redesign leads in relation to hospital/organisation and Ministry of Health.
