A COVID-19 test is free for everyone in NSW, regardless of your visa status.
The only way to know if you have COVID-19 is by getting a COVID-19 test (nose and throat swab). If you feel sick or have any symptoms, you must get a COVID-19 test straight away, even if you're fully vaccinated. This will protect you and your community. COVID-19 vaccines stop you from getting really sick from COVID-19. In NSW, you can get a free third (3) COVID-19 vaccine, this is also called a 'booster' vaccine.
If you are aged 18 and over and it has been 6 months since you got your second (2) dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, you can get a booster vaccine. In NSW you will get the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for your booster dose. It is safe to get this vaccine, even if you have had another type of vaccine for your primary doses in another country.
