Chief Health Officer’s Strategic Programs

​​​​​​​​Reporting to the Chief Health Officer, the Chief Health Officer's Strategic Programs Branch leads a range of portfolios including policy regarding organ and tissue donation, blood and blood products, clinical ethics and voluntary assisted dying.​

The Chief Health Officer's Strategic Programs Branch is configured into three teams:

  • the Strategic Policy Unit
  • the Voluntary Assisted Dying Policy Unit
  • the Voluntary Assisted Dying Board Secretariat.​

NSW Public Health Workforce Plan 2024-2034

This Plan provides strategic direction for the public health workforce in NSW.

Horizon one of the Plan focuses particularly on the health protection workforce and provides direction for the workforce to be equipped to protect the public from infectious and environmental threats.
