The Office of the Secretary is accountable to the Secretary of Health for leading the delivery of high level cross divisional projects and system reforms and key internal and external reporting functions aligned with the strategic responsibilities of the Ministry and NSW Health more broadly.

The Office of the Secretary plays a pivotal role in ensuring effective issues management of high-profile, cross-divisional issues and the delivery of key health projects, as directed by the Secretary.

The Office of the Secretary also provides strategic executive support for key meetings and the management of visit and function briefs for the NSW Minister for Health and Minister for Regional Health, Minister for Mental Health and Minister for Medical Research.
