Dr Catherine Clark
South Eastern Sydney Local Health District
Since her appointment as Staff Specialist in Radiation Oncology, Dr Clark has dramatically enhanced the capability of the department to deliver exemplary care to patients and carers. This has been achieved through her dedication to clinical excellence and her authentic leadership based on compassion and empowerment which manifests in her role as Director of Training for registrars in Radiation Oncology.
Her innovative approach to expand the centre to its full potential has seen the introduction of several new services. Her advocacy for staff and patients has produced a positive cultural change leading to a significant effect on the department.
Jenny McKenzie
Murrumbidgee Local Health District
One of NSW’s first palliative care nurse practitioners, Jenny McKenzie has led and championed palliative care in the district for over 20 years. Jenny has been the clinical lead for a palliative care service providing quality care to patients living in rural and remote NSW.
She has driven the expansion of this service, allowing wider access to palliative care in rural NSW.
Jenny has mentored generations of doctors, nurses and allied health professionals in providing excellence in palliative care. She looks beyond the normal boundaries of clinical care, ensuring a home death is possible for Murrumbidgee Local Health District’s rural and remote patients.
Matthew Williams
Northern Sydney Local Health District
Matthew has been the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) lead of the innovative Osteoarthritis Chronic Care Program (OACCP) since its inception in February 2012. He has developed this model from proof of concept to a state-of-the-art model endorsed by the Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) as the gold standard for replication state-wide.
He has engaged and developed partnerships with strategic stakeholders, met key performance indicators, maintained a patient-centred focus and secured recurrent funding for model sustainability. Matthew embodies NSW Health's CORE values and is a key leader in NSW
Osteoarthritis
health outcomes.
