We are responsible for administration of the NSW Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act 1966 and the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Regulation 2008.

SafeScript NSW

SafeScript NSW is available to prescribers and pharmacists and gives real-time information about a patient's prescription history for certain high-risk medicines such as opioids and benzodiazepines. It supports clinical decision making and patient safety.

Loss, theft, forgeries of medicines, prescriptions, drug registers

Notify NSW Health immediately if a S8 or S4D medicine is lost or stolen, or if prescription stationery, prescriptions, or drug registers are lost, stolen, forged, or destroyed.
