Our impact and what people are saying

The Beyond tomorrow megatrends report has been a valuable strategic resource for the Clinical Excellence Commission. It's evidence-based insights have helped shape our approach to meeting the evolving needs of the NSW Health workforce, as well as patients, carers and families across the state, particularly in the context of future-proofing safety in healthcare.

The report has informed how we deliver on our goal to embed a robust safety system that continues to care for patients and staff, amid a rapidly changing healthcare landscape. Importantly, it provides context for meaningful discussion across our leadership and broader organisation about preparing for disruption, embracing innovation and supporting a workforce that is agile, capable and bold in leading change, now and into the future.

The presentation delivered by the Future Workforce Unit on the health Megatrends, to the staff in the School of Allied Health, Exercise and Sports Sciences at Charles Sturt University was excellent, engaging and very thought provoking. Providing an overview of the six megatrends and relating each to how they could impact allied health practice has challenged staff to consider how we transform our education of our students to ensure they are prepared for working in, and can effectively contribute to, a rapidly changing work environment. The feedback from the staff following the presentation has been very positive, with teams now looking at where and how best to incorporate discussion of the health megatrends into the allied health curriculum. Thank you for bringing the health megatrends to our attention
