NSW Health continues to closely monitor the situation in Queensland due to the COVID-19 cases in the Brisbane community.

Queensland Health notified the public of a number of new close contact and casual contact venues on Saturday evening. A full list of all venues of concern and associated public health advice is on the Queensland Health website. Anyone who has been in the Brisbane City Council or Moreton Bay Regional Council areas since 11 March should check the website regularly for updates.

Anyone entering NSW by any means who has been in these council areas since 11 March is required to complete a declaration form. This information is important to help NSW Health contact travellers if required.

If you have attended a close-contact venue listed on the Queensland Health website, you should not enter NSW. If you have attended any of the close or casual contact venues as listed on the Queensland Health website and you are already in NSW, you should immediately self-isolate and call NSW Health on 1800 943 553.

Anyone who has been in the Brisbane City Council or Moreton Bay Regional Council areas since 11 March should avoid non-essential visits to hospitals, residential aged care facilities and disability residential care services in NSW until further notice.

NSW Health urges everyone to continue to take practical measures to stay COVID-safe. This includes always using QR codes to check in to venues, staying home and getting tested for COVID-19 if unwell, and practising good hand hygiene.

NSW Health is treating 50 COVID-19 cases, none of whom are in ICU. Most cases (92 per cent) are being treated in non-acute, out-of-hospital care, including returned travellers in the Special Health Accommodation.

There are more than 350 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW, many of which are open seven days a week. To find your nearest clinic, visit: COVID-19 clinics, or contact your GP.
