NSW Health Accessible Communications Policy

The NSW Health Accessible Communications Policy has been developed together with key stakeholders across NSW Health, consumers and those with lived experience.

Accessible communication means making sure all people understand the information NSW Health is sharing.

The policy directive aims to support all NSW Health staff in developing communication materials that are accessible to consumers.

“Everyone can play a part in addressing health literacy.”

  • Aboriginal people and communities
  • people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities
  • people with disability
  • people with low levels of English literacy
  • people who are neurodiverse.
