As at 8pm Thursday 30 April 2020, an additional 9 cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed since 8pm 29 April, bringing the total to 3,025.

During that time, 7,038 people were tested, compared to 7,387 in the 24 hours before.

There have now been 2,293 people who have recovered from COVID-19 in NSW.

There are currently 108 COVID-19 cases being treated by NSW Health. This includes 14 people being treated in Intensive Care Units, with 12 of those requiring ventilators. 75 per cent of cases are in non-acute, out-of-hospital care.

There has been one new death reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 43 deaths in NSW from confirmed COVID-19 cases.

A 74-year-old male resident of Anglicare Newmarch House has died. This brings the total number of deaths linked to the facility to 13. NSW Health extends its deepest condolences to his family.

There have been three new cases at Newmarch House, raising the total to 59 cases, including 22 staff and 37 residents, confirmed as positive.

NSW Health is urging people with symptoms, including mild symptoms, to be tested to ensure as many cases in the community are as identified as quickly as possible.

Today, NSW Health particularly asks for people in the Penrith LGA to get tested if they have even the most mild of symptoms.

NSW Health is alerting passengers who were close contacts of cases on flights to monitor for symptoms, and contact their GP, (call ahead before visiting), or call healthdirect on 1800 022 222, or visit a NSW Health COVID-19/Flu assessment clinic should they become unwell.
