South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) covers an area of 468 square kilometres from Sydney's CBD in the north to the Royal National Park in the south.

Dharawal, Gadigal, Wangai, Gweagal and Bidjigal peoples are the traditional owners of the land.

In 2021 the estimated population was 979,370 residents, and over the decade to 2031, the overall population is projected to increase to 1,080,291. 

The services provided across the District include in-hospital care, outpatient services, population health programs and services, primary health care, community health / home based services, imaging and pathology, among others.

SESLHD also provides a key role in assisting residents of Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island with access to hospital and health services, including state-wide services.
