Professor Aaron Sverdlov has made an outstanding contribution to the lives of patients living with cancer and heart disease, helping improve health outcomes and quality of life for patients with two of the world's most significant health challenges.
Professor Sverdlov is a national and international leader in the management of cardio-oncology, leading the only gold-tiered accredited cardio-oncology service in Australia, which was awarded by the International Cardio Oncology Society (ICOS), reflecting his standing as a key voice in the management of cardio-oncology in Australia. Professor Sverdlov has also gained international attention for his work in heart failure, where he has led the design of new models of care, therapies and research, through the lens of person-centred care. In addition to his clinical work, Professor Sverdlov has led major research initiatives, secured research funding, implemented innovative models of care, and shared research findings across the world.
His honesty, integrity, kindness and generous nature have made him a mentor to many.
