The Radiation Therapy Graduate Recruitment program allows graduate radiation therapists who complete their degree between June 2026 and December 2026 to apply for NSW Health jobs through a single application process. As a part of this pilot program applicants can be considered for multiple positions across participating NSW Health services.
Positions are full-time temporary for 12 months, with the possibility of ongoing employment.

The Central Coast Cancer Centre (CCCC) is a comprehensive outpatient radiation oncology service located at Gosford Hospital on the Central Coast of New South Wales. We pride ourselves on fostering a positive, collaborative, and supportive workplace culture that promotes professional growth and excellence in patient care.
CCCC is a three-linear accelerator Varian department, providing new graduate radiation therapists with exposure to a broad range of advanced technologies and treatment techniques. Our equipment includes TrueBeam Edge and TrueBeam linear accelerators, an Xstrahl superficial/orthovoltage treatment unit, a Siemens CT simulator, and an on-site mould room. Treatment planning and delivery are supported through the use of ARIA and Eclipse systems. We deliver state-of-the-art radiation therapy treatments, including IMRT, VMAT, SABR, and SRS.
New graduates are supported throughout their transition into clinical practice through structured learning and development opportunities, comprehensive mentorship, and integration into our dynamic multidisciplinary team. Staff enjoy a nine-day fortnight roster, supporting a healthy work-life balance while building their skills and experience in a progressive and patient-focused department.

Located in Tamworth, a vibrant and growing regional city offering an excellent lifestyle away from the pace and congestion of metropolitan centres, the North West Cancer Centre provides radiation therapy services to a large rural and regional population across North West NSW. Graduates will have the opportunity to develop broad clinical skills across contemporary techniques including VMAT, IMRT, SRS, SABR and 3DCRT, with access to a TrueBeam linear accelerator equipped with Catalyst SGRT, a dedicated superficial treatment machine and a Siemens GoSim CT. New graduates are welcomed with a comprehensive orientation program, structured supervision, education and ongoing mentoring, alongside a 9-day fortnight that supports a positive balance between professional development, lifestyle and wellbeing.

The Radiation Therapy Department is predominantly an outpatient service located in the Illawarra Cancer Care Centre, a comprehensive cancer facility collocated with Wollongong Hospital, with views of both Mt Keira and the ocean to the east.
The Department consists of three TrueBeam linear accelerators, an orthovoltage superficial/orthovoltage treatment machine, and predominantly uses ARIA and Eclipse to plan and deliver the radiation treatment. We operate as one district wide service between ICCC and SCCC and share resources.
Surface guided treatment is the standard of care. There is a strong caseload of VMAT, IMRT, SABR, SRS and hypo-fractionated treatments prescribed. Graduates are supported in all aspects of care and provided opportunity to learn and grow as valued and important members of our team.

Graduates can gain broad clinical experience across two Elekta Evo linacs with online adaptive capability, a Siemens CT, Monaco TPS and a superficial treatment unit, with opportunities to work within the MDT and contribute to quality improvement projects. Full-time staff can access flexible working arrangements including a four-day week or nine-day fortnight, along with CPD funding to support ongoing development.
Tweed Valley Hospital is home to the newest public radiation therapy department in NSW, in a coastal location with ocean views from the planning room. Graduates can gain experience across an Elekta linac, Siemens CT and Monaco TPS, including stereotactic treatments, with opportunities to work within the multidisciplinary team and contribute to quality improvement projects. Full-time staff can access flexible working arrangements including a four-day week or nine-day fortnight, along with CPD funding — and the option to join the Thursday afternoon run club.

The Northern Sydney Cancer Centre at Royal North Shore Hospital is a major tertiary referral centre providing comprehensive cancer care to patients across Northern Sydney and beyond. Liverpool Cancer Therapy Centre (LCTC) is a leading tertiary cancer centre located within Liverpool Hospital, providing comprehensive cancer care services to patients across South Western Sydney and beyond, including radiation oncology, medical oncology, haematology, and clinical support services.
Graduates at LCTC gain experience in a large and diverse clinical environment featuring four linear accelerators, an orthovoltage unit, a brachytherapy service, a dedicated CT simulator, and a dedicated MR simulator. The department provides exposure to a wide range of treatment techniques and technologies including VMAT, IGRT, SGRT, SABR/SBRT, DIBH, brachytherapy, MR simulation, and complex multidisciplinary oncology workflows, offering a comprehensive and varied clinical learning experience.
Graduates are supported through a structured orientation program, dedicated preceptors, regular educator engagement, and ongoing mentorship from experienced radiation therapists, educators, and multidisciplinary team members. As part of the graduate program, graduates rotate between Liverpool and Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centres, providing exposure to both a large tertiary referral centre and a regional cancer service.
Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre (MCTC) is a modern cancer centre located within Campbelltown Hospital, providing radiation therapy services to the growing Macarthur and South Western Sydney communities.
Graduates at MCTC gain exposure to a broad range of disease sites and treatment techniques across a department comprising three linear accelerators, an orthovoltage unit, and a dedicated CT simulator. The department utilises contemporary radiation therapy technology including SGRT, cone beam CT imaging, VMAT, SABR/SBRT, DIBH, and specialised stereotactic techniques, providing a diverse and comprehensive clinical learning experience.
Graduates are supported through a structured orientation program, dedicated preceptors, regular educator support, and ongoing mentoring from experienced radiation therapists and multidisciplinary team members. As part of the graduate program, graduates rotate between Macarthur and Liverpool Cancer Therapy Centres, providing exposure to both a regional cancer service and a large tertiary cancer centre.

Western Cancer Centre Dubbo is part of a district Radiation Oncology Service within the Western NSW Local Health District. There are 2 Radiation Oncology departments (Dubbo and Orange) and Radiation Therapists are based in either Dubbo or Orange. Planning is shared and supported across the district.
Dubbo has a true beam linear accelerator, a superficial machine and a PET/CT scanner. Graduates would gain experiences with a broad range of advanced techniques including VMAT, SRS, SABR and a high volume of hypo-fractionated treatments. Graduates would work within a multidisciplinary team including Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Full-time staff can access flexible working arrangements including a four-day week or nine-day fortnight, along with CPD funding to support ongoing professional development, courses and conferences.

The Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre at Westmead Hospital is a major tertiary referral centre servicing the diverse communities of Western Sydney and beyond. The department delivers a wide range of complex and specialised treatments, including paediatric radiotherapy, stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), total body irradiation (TBI), and brachytherapy. Graduates will have the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced clinicians and gain exposure to cutting-edge treatment techniques and workflows utilising Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators, Eclipse treatment planning systems, Elekta Flexitron HDR brachytherapy, Siemens MRI and CT simulation platforms, and advanced image-guided radiotherapy technologies.
The Blacktown Cancer and Haematology Centre compliments this experience by providing high-quality, patient-centred care within a modern and growing cancer service. Graduates will gain experience working with Varian TrueBeam technology, Eclipse treatment planning systems, and Siemens CT simulation while treating a diverse patient cohort. New graduates are supported through a well-established and comprehensive onboarding, education, and mentorship program designed to build confidence and accelerate professional development. Rotations across both campuses ensure broad clinical exposure and the opportunity to work within multidisciplinary teams committed to innovation, excellence, and continuous learning.
