Information for school staff about how to run Crunch&Sip®. Help students build healthy habits by eating vegetables or fruit and drinking water during class.
Crunch&Sip® is a set time in the classroom where students eat vegetables or fruit and drink plain water.
Crunch&Sip® gives students a chance to:
All fresh vegetables (such as broccoli, carrots, celery) and frozen or canned vegetables (such as baby corn, drained beans).
All frozen, fresh (whole or chopped) or canned (in natural juice).
Only plain water.
Choose a time each day that suits your class. Consistency helps it become routine. Generally, Crunch&Sip® should be scheduled for 5 to 10 minutes.
Contact NSW Health’s Live Life Well @ School team at MOH-llws@health.nsw.gov.au to connect with your local Health Promotion Officer to get started.
