How to start Crunch&Sip® at your school

Step 1: Allocate a time that works

Choose a time each day that suits your class. Consistency helps it become routine. Generally, Crunch&Sip® should be scheduled for 5 to 10 minutes.

Step 2: Keep it simple

  • Students eat vegetables or fruit and drink plain water in the classroom.
  • No need to stop lessons.
  • Crunch&Sip® works well during quiet individual or group activities.
  • You can include it in lessons or link it to the curriculum.

Step 3: Encourage participation

  • Remind families to pack vegetables, fruit and a reusable water bottle daily.
  • Join in by eating vegetables or fruit and drinking water with your students.
  • Pair Crunch&Sip® with another activity that your students enjoy.
  • Grow your own with a class vegetable garden or fruit trees.
