The implementation of the Henry Review recommendations is progressing and important developments include:

  1.  Membership of the Children Young People and Families Executive Steering Committee (CYPFESC) has been finalised.
  2. This committee has been established to provide system-wide strategic advice to strengthen the provision of NSW Health services for children and young people and families and to oversee the implementation of the Henry Review recommendations. The CYPFESC reports to the Secretary, NSW Health. The establishment of this committee addresses Henry Review recommendation 9.

  3. Inaugural meeting of CYPFESC has been scheduled for early 2022.
  4. An update on implementation of Henry Review recommendations will be reported in the next communiqué.
  5. The Henry Review Implementation Plan will need to be considered and endorsed by the CYPFESC. In the interim a progress update will be issued on implementation of recommendations underway or complete.

  6. Monitoring and reporting processes are in development.
  7. A dashboard is being developed to report on implementation progress. The dashboard will be made available on the Paediatric Heath webpage once finalised.
