This Summary Handbook is a quick reference document for NSW Health staff working in settings where they care for people with dementia and those who experience behavioural and psychological symptoms associated with dementia (BPSD).
This resource provides an overview of the key learnings from the main handbook and provides staff with quick references to the most common tools, concepts and strategies for management of extreme BPSD.
For staff that are time poor it provides strategies to assist in the management of people with BPSD, however managers should always refer staff to the main handbook for a more thorough understanding of the key concepts and evidence contained within this summary handbook.
