NSW recorded no new locally acquired and two overseas-acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, bringing the total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic to 4,956.

There were 16,970 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day's total of 20,906.

CasesCount
Confirmed cases (including interstate residents in NSW health care facilities) 4,956
Deaths (in NSW from confirmed cases) 56
Total tests carried out 4,884,084

Today marks 33 days with no reported locally acquired cases in NSW and we would like to thank the community for continuing to come forward to get tested and being vigilant with important COVID-safe behaviours, such as social distancing and mask-wearing.

As there have been recent cases of COVID-19 in Victoria and New Zealand, and cases are being regularly detected among overseas arrivals, there is still a risk of COVID spreading into the NSW community. It is critical that everyone continues to practise COVID-safe behaviours.

While people travelling to NSW from Victoria no longer need to isolate, anyone who attended any of the venues of concern (known in Victoria as 'exposure sites') identified by the Victorian authorities in the past 14 days should follow the relevant public health advice on the website.

People travelling to NSW by air and rail who have been in Victoria in the previous 14 days still need to fill out a declaration regarding the venues of concern

There are more than 350 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW, many of which are open seven days a week. To find your nearest clinic visit COVID-19 clinics or contact your GP.

NSW Health is treating 23 COVID-19 cases, none of whom are in intensive care. Most cases (96 per cent) are being treated in non-acute, out-of-hospital care, including returned travellers in the Special Health Accommodation.
