Finalists announced for the 2026 NSW Health Awards
09 October 2026
Content 1
Artificial intelligence supporting breast cancer screening and innovative health programs improving access to ADHD care are among the outstanding initiatives recognised as finalists for the 2026 NSW Health Awards.
The 28th edition of the awards continue to celebrate excellence across the public health system, recognising staff, volunteers and health programs that deliver meaningful outcomes for patients and support the wellbeing of communities across NSW.
The 45 finalists were selected across 14 award categories, including Health Innovation, Transforming Patient Experience, and the Keeping People Healthy Award.
NSW Health Secretary Susan Pearce AM said she was extremely proud of all the finalists and the difference they are making for patients, families and communities across NSW.
“The NSW Health Awards recognise the incredible work our staff and volunteers do every day to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of NSW,” Ms Pearce said.
“The 45 finalists chosen this year showcase a range of innovative and compassionate approaches to healthcare, and it is wonderful to see their efforts acknowledged.
“I congratulate each and every finalist, who reflect the incredible work being done in millions of ways every day by all our teams of doctors, nurses, midwives, allied health and support staff right across the system.
“These awards also recognise the invaluable contribution of community members who generously give their time to support patients, carers and staff, through the Volunteer of the Year Award.”
The finalists and winners will be celebrated at the NSW Health Awards ceremony, which will be held on Thursday 29 October 2026 at the International Convention Centre in Sydney and via livestream on the
NSW Health website
at 6pm.
