A measles alert has been issued for parts of Sydney CBD and Leichardt.
NSW Health is urging people who have been in the Sydney CBD and Leichhardt from July 15 -19 to be aware of the symptoms of measles after an infected tourist visited these areas.
A highly effective measles vaccine has been freely available for many years and it is vital for everyone, including adults and children, to have two doses of the measles vaccine during their lifetime.
