Measles alert for Sydney

There is an increased local risk for measles in NSW. NSW Health have been notified of three confirmed cases of measles who were unknowingly infectious while visiting many locations across Sydney. The new cases are known close contacts of a person who had measles recently in Sydney. 

Increased measles activity has been reported in Western Australia and New Zealand. There are also prolonged measles outbreaks occurring in a number of countries including Indonesia (including Bali), Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines.
