The NSW Government released its formal response to the Final Report of the Special Commission of Inquiry (SCOI) into Healthcare Funding on 4 December 2025.
The Inquiry, led by The Honourable Justice Richard Beasley SC, conducted a major review of the NSW public healthcare system and how it is funded.
The NSW Government response supports in full or in principle the majority of the 41 recommendations, which will lead to significant, positive reforms in the public health system.
The NSW Government will continue to closely monitor progress and report on the implementation of the recommendations.
