System Performance Support has the lead role in monitoring the performance of health services by working in close partnership with health service executives, senior managers and clinicians as well as other parts of the Ministry and pillar organisations.

Staff within the branch provide expert strategic advice on issues and obstacles that may adversely impact on health system performance, identify performance issues, assist health services in the development and implementation of recovery plans.

The branch promote the implementation of state-wide initiatives that improve and enhance the delivery of high quality, efficient and effective health services in NSW.
