Residential rehabilitation for people with children

Applications for this grant opportunity have now closed.

Thank you to all non-government organisations (NGOs) that have submitted an expression of interest (EOI) application form. The effort made in completing the applications is sincerely appreciated. Evaluation of the applications is now complete and the grant has been awarded to the successful NGO.

The Ministry of Health released an EOI opportunity to alcohol and other drug (AOD) NGOs to provide AOD residential rehabilitation services for people (regardless of gender) with children. The successful NGO will be receiving $633,000 per year as a contribution to operational costs to deliver the service.

The NGOs invited to submit a proposal are those who are already providing AOD residential rehabilitation to people (couples and/or single people regardless of gender) with children. People with dependent children were identified as a priority population group in the Ice Inquiry, and this grant aims to address a service gap by allowing people to undertake residential AOD treatment while their children continue to live with them.
