NSW Health delivers an integrated and comprehensive Drug and Alcohol Program covering prevention, early intervention, harm minimisation, treatment including specialist treatment and aftercare system services.
The aim of the Drug and Alcohol Program is to prevent and minimise the harm associated with alcohol and other drug use, and to ensure people have access to a full spectrum of services from acute and general health services through to specialist treatment services.
The Drug and Alcohol Program is delivered through local health districts, non-government organisations and Aboriginal community controlled health services, in collaboration with NSW Health pillars and other NSW Government agencies.
