Transcript of Never use BBQs or outdoor heaters inside.

Darren Roberts: Carbon monoxide poisoning is a killer.

It occurs because people bring devices inside that should be outside, burning devices such as gas heaters or charcoal burners or barbecues.

In a controlled test, carbon monoxide began filling this room in minutes. It quickly reached dangerous levels.

The problem with carbon monoxide is that it has no smell, no color, no taste, you don't know it's in the room. It's like a silent killer.

You may not know you're breathing it until it's too late.

Protect yourself and your family this winter. Leave barbecues and outdoor heaters outside.

In the case of a medical emergency, please call triple zero (000).
