The Net Zero Hubs (2024-2027) is an Australian-first program establishing multi-disciplinary teams to lead decarbonisation activities in clinical carbon hotspots across NSW Health. We know that more than half of health’s carbon footprint is from clinical care.
Emergency Departments (ED) are recognised as a key emission hotspot. Based at Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), the Net Zero ED Hub is delivering decarbonisation activities to support the transition to a high-quality, low-carbon and climate resilient health system. The Net Zero ED Hub is led by Dr Matthew Knox, Belinda Gee and Jennifer Duncan.
The Net Zero ED Hub provides project case studies, resources and implementation guidance for NSW Health Emergency Department staff.
