The Net Zero Hubs (2024-2027) is an Australian-first program establishing multi-disciplinary teams to lead decarbonisation activities in clinical carbon hotspots across NSW Health. We know that more than half of health’s carbon footprint is from clinical care.
Intensive Care Units (ICUs) are recognised as a key emission hotspot. Based at South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD), the Net Zero ICU Hub is delivering decarbonisation activities to support the transition to a high-quality, low-carbon and climate resilient health system. The Net Zero ICU Hub is led by Prof Deepak Bhonagiri and Jennifer McClure.
The Net Zero ICU Hub provides project case studies, resources and implementation guidance for NSW Health staff.
