The Net Zero Hubs (2024-2027) is an Australian-first program establishing multi-disciplinary teams to lead decarbonisation activities in clinical carbon hotspots across NSW Health. We know that more than half of health’s carbon footprint is from clinical care.
Renal services are recognised as a key emission hotspot. Based at South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD), the Net Zero Renal Hub is delivering decarbonisation activities to support the transition to a high-quality, low-carbon and climate resilient health system. The Net Zero Renal Hub is led by Dr Alex Gallagher, Dr Brendan Smyth and Helen Veros.
The Net Zero Renal Hub provides project case studies, resources and implementation guidance for NSW Health renal staff.
