The State Operational Data Store (ODS) is a state-wide repository that curates data from Local Health Districts, Specialty Health Networks, Ambulance NSW, Health Share NSW, NSW Health Pathology and healthdirect. It plays a vital role in NSW Health with the ability to operationally manage the health system performance in real time.
The State ODS underpins numerous policies and procedures and supports enterprise applications, including:Patient Flow Portal: Used to manage patient flow and care coordination across hospitals, Local Health Districts (LHDs), and statewide services.
Revenue Portal: Used to support and improve revenue performance by identifying missed revenue opportunities in real time and digitise admission and billing processes.
Clinician Billing Portal: used by Staff Specialist clinicians to capture Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) items.
