Summary

The Population Health Research Strategy provides a contemporary framework for NSW Health to effectively generate and use population health research. It identifies three key areas of work: facilitate the generation of high quality, relevant population health research; maximise the use of research evidence to improve population health; and build population health research capability.

Following a review, the end date of the Strategy has been extended. The Strategy originally covered the term 2018-2022, and will now cover the term 2018-2024. The latest version incorporates very minor amendments to update content that was no longer current and replace references to superseded guidelines and policies.

A companion document of case studies is also available.
