Working with people with drug and alcohol dependencies and supporting their families and carers is pivotal to achieving strong outcomes for these consumers. Research shows supporting carers benefits consumers, including enhancing the effectiveness of service delivery, decreasing hospital admissions and reducing relapse rates.
